For a new client, a company involved in the distribution of food products, we completed the construction of a 1,450 m2 warehouse hall with an adjacent social and office building with a usable area of almost 500 m2. The entire building was designed in accordance with the principles of the traditional Chinese art of space planning – feng shui. Thanks to the appropriate arrangement and integration into the landscape, we achieved the best use of the plot and the impact of the building’s surroundings on energy. Harmonious alignment of a given space with the surroundings, people and the place itself will ensure its users’ happiness, which can translate into achieving success.
The scope of work of Amwin as the general designer and contractor included the preparation of a full-discipline architectural, construction and technical design. The structure of the hall is based on prefabricated reinforced concrete columns, and the roof was based on steel truss girders with an assumed load allowing for the installation of a photovoltaic installation. The external casing was made of sandwich panels. Inside the warehouse hall, a cooling line was designed, consisting of a delivery zone and a cold store. The social and office building was built in a brick structure. Part of the floor was suspended above the dock zone serving the hall’s delivery zones, which allowed for maintaining the logistics service of the warehouse at the front of the plot while maintaining the representative form of the office building. In the immediate vicinity of the building, hardened areas with communication and parking spaces were implemented. The aesthetic complement, in accordance with the philosophy of feng shui, is a fountain placed in front of the entrance to the office building.
